Ms. Willie Cordelia Weatherford, age 96 of Joyce, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

Born Saturday, November 7, 1925 in Calvin, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Weatherford; parents, W. O. and Mattie Sanders Wilson; and her siblings Floice G Wilson, Vester Lee Wilson, Elvie Wilson Carpenter, and Ira Lester Wilson Dooley.

Ms. Willie was a member of East Winnfield Baptist Church and in her spare time enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, and reading.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, James Weatherford (Diane), Terry Weatherford (Sheree), and Dale Weatherford; one daughter, Sandra Weatherford Roberson (Lynn); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 in Old Union Cemetery with Rev. Billy Verhoef officiating. Services have been entrusted to Southern Funeral Homes of Winnfield.
