William Howard "Tall Boy" O'Bryan, 77, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. He was born on April 15, 1947, in Winnfield.

William a retired logger who spent his life working hard and enjoying the simple pleasures of country living. A proud member of Corinth Baptist Church, William found joy in his faith, his music, and the outdoors. He was a talented steel guitar player and an avid fisherman who could often be found by the water, casting his line with a smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Alexander O'Bryan and Doris Hickman O'Bryan, and his daughters Sue O'Bryan, Christie Monnin, brother George O'Bryan and  sister Doris Laverne Parish.

William is survived by his son Howard Alexander O'Bryan and daughter Melissa Ann O'Bryan. He leaves behind his brothers James O'Bryan, Cecil O'Bryan, Donald O'Bryan, and Ronald O'Bryan; sisters Ethel Davis, Debbie LaCroix, Elizabeth O'Bryan, Carol Parker, and Cindy Glenn. He was also blessed with three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will dearly miss him.

A celebration of William's life will be held at Southern Funeral Home on Monday, September 9th, 2024 with Reverends Chuck LaCroix and Adam Thornton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery near Calvin.   Friends may visit with the family at Southern Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
