William Hoyt Curtis, 84, of Pineville, LA passed away peacefully in Alexandria, LA on July 19, 2024.  Hoyt lived most of his life in Many, LA until he and his wife, Carol Davison Curtis, moved to Pineville, LA in 2011 to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law, grandson and granddaughter.

Hoyt was retired and enjoyed spending time with family, working in his yard and 'piddling' in his shop.  He also enjoyed riding his Kubota side-by-side and tractor in the pasture.

A graveside service for Hoyt will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Montgomery, LA with Rev. Richard Kurtz officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Montgomery, LA.

Hoyt was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Carol Davison Curtis.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, Norman A. Curtis and Maude Miller Curtis.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Curtis Veuleman and husband Marvin of Pineville, LA; grandson Eric Veuleman and wife Ashley of Alexandria, LA; granddaughter Emily Bourgeois and husband Brian of Alexandria, LA; and two great-grandchildren, Vivian Veuleman and Forrest Veuleman of Alexandria, LA.  He is also survived by his sister, Norma Funderburk of Lufkin, Texas.
