Mr. Wilbur Roy Poole passed from this life on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in LaSalle General Hospital of Jena, Louisiana. He was born to the union of  Vernon and Willie Lee Thomas Poole on August 29, 1939, in Jena, Louisiana.

Mr. Wilbur spent his working career as a truck driver for many years. In his spare time, he was always a cowboy at heart, enjoying riding and tending to horses. He was married to the late Nancy Elizabeth Pinkston Poole.

Mr. Wilbur was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Elizabeth Pinkston Poole; parents, Vernon and Willie Lee Thomas Poole; his siblings, Mary Virginia Coon, and Rinard Poole.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Wendy Poole Robertson, and husband Kenny; grandchildren, Brandon Robertson and wife Rosanne, Ryan Robertson and wife Shelby, Delainey Mayo and husband Ryan.

The family will receive friends at Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

Graveside services will be held at Belah Cemetery of the Belah Community at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 12, 2025, with Mr. Dillan McDowell officiating.

Those honored to serve the family as pallbearers are Ryan Robertson, Ryan Mayo, Kenny Robertson, and Brandon Robertson.
