Rev. Walton Deloy Shows, age 89 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021.

Born Friday, October 21, 1932 in Jonesboro, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents Cleo Barnes Shows and Walton A. Shows; wife, Jean Desadier Shows; brothers, Tommy and William Henry Shows; son-in-law, Sam McFarland; and great grandson, Eli Bryant Shows.

Rev. Shows served as pastor in various area Baptist Churches for over 50 years and was also retired from Williamette after 50 plus years of Service. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Mike Shows (Liz), Kim McFarland, Martha Finch (Dave), and Jeff Shows (Mary); grandchildren, Melissa (Mike), Christina (Rick), Paighton (Austin), Kyle (Valerie), Erin, Jared (Rebecca), and Josh; great grandchildren, Brenden, Evan, Luke, Caroline, Austin Paul, Kyra, Piper, Oliver, Grayson, Korbin, Molly, Jayce, and Noah.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Tannehill, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Shows and Rev. Bob Tuggle officiating. Interment will follow in New Jerusalem Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jared Shows, Josh Shows, Kyle Watson, Rick Bounds, Mike Sealy, and Dave Finch. Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandsons, and Larry Shows, Jimmy Usrey, Wayne Harlan, Lamar Harlan, M.G. Perry, and Terry Taylor.
