Vicky Lynn Keiffer, age 70, of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on  Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.

She was born on Saturday, June 5, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the union of Bennie Irvin and Mildred Geneva Connor Murray. Vicky graduated from Winnfield High Senior School and was a majorette in 1972. She enjoyed playing the clarinet in the band, was in the school drama club, competed on the dive team, played summer league softball and served as a lifeguard.

She continued her education at Northwestern State University where she earned a degree in paralegal and criminal justice studies. Vicky worked for 16 years at the Winn Parish District Attorney's office before falling ill with multiple myeloma. She then began working at the Winn Parish indegent defender board office and worked for 18 years with Herman Castete before her untimely death. Vicky was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and very much loved her church and church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Irvin and Mildred Geneva Connor Murray; her first husband and the love of her life Dennis Keiffer; brother, Monte Murray; maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Iva Connor; paternal grandparents, Willie and Nellie Pratt Murray.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Courtney Keiffer Rowell and husband Jared, Jennifer Keiffer Cagle and husband Steven; grandchildren, Brett Keiffer, Paige Vail (Joe), Addie Vail (Alex), Cody Whitman, Mattie Cobb, Jacob Rowell, Mia Cagle and Colby Cagle; great grandchild, Camden "Doodle" Rasmussen; sisters, Kathy Swisher (Ron), Sonya Carpenter; sister in law, Neica Murray, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM , and again  on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Ron Swisher officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories, in Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Steven Cagle, Jared Rowell, Michael Keiffer, Michael Fredieu, Ron Swisher, Ronnie Taylor and Andrew Dugan,
