Vicki Lynn (Thompson) Allen, 80, of Jena, Louisiana peacefully passed from this life to be united with her Lord and Savior on Saturday April 8, 2023.  Vicki was born to the union of Wilburn Barlow Thompson and Lucille (Gates) Thompson on June 16, 1942, in Jena.  She was a Cheerleader and Majorette at Terrebonne High School and was actively involved in the choir.  She also served on the school's newspaper and yearbook staff.

In her early years, she was employed by Bell South in Houma, La. which was followed by a career in the Clerical field. She was an avid collector of every card, receipt, photo, or memento that she ever received.  She had the most beautiful blue eyes, and they never lost their sparkle for the Lord. She was a member of Sanctuary Family Worship Center and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the choir and loved to sing.

Vicki was preceded in death by her husband Justin Wayne Allen Sr, a grandson Austin Allen, her parents, three brothers Pat Thompson, Michael Thompson, and Tommy Thompson, and three sisters Betty Williams, Frances Thibodeaux, and Sally Bartley.

Those left to love and miss her are her children Dana King & husband Howie of Jena, Darren Domangue of Broussard, La, and Leslie Bruner of Jena.  Raymond Allen & wife Barbara of Nebo, Justin Allen & wife Jeanie of Rosebud, Tx, and Kevin Allen & wife Tonja of Katy, Tx.  half-brother Kelly Thompson of College Station, Tx. grandchildren Candace Trock of Arkansas, Kelly Davidson & husband Britt of Jena, Cody King of Basile, La, Kelsie Bruner of Tx, Micah Bruner of Tx, and Dr. Dallas Domangue & wife Maria of Jackson, Ms.  Morgan Francis & husband Weston of Jena, Chet Allen & wife Kassey of Nebo, Justin Wayne Allen & wife Hali of Rosebud, Tx, Josh Allen of Rosebud, Tx, and Tommy Cole Allen of Katy, Tx.  great-grandchildren Sawyer Davidson, Waylon, Ashlynn and Hattie Francis, Luke Allen, and Cutter Allen. Lifelong friends/sisters-in-law Evelyn Thompson and Lua Thompson. A host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.  She was a loving person whether you called her Aunt Vicki, Miss Vicki, Granny, or Mama and will be missed very dearly by all.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday April 11, 2023, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens from 10:00am -1:00pm.

Going Home service will be held for Vicki on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Kinner and Stevens with her nephew Pastor Patrick "Packy" Thompson and Pastor Heath Harris officiating.

Vicki will be laid to rest following the service in the Jena Cemetery.  Those honored to serve Vicki and the family as Pallbearers are Chet Allen, Josh Allen, Justin Wayne Allen, Chris Anderson, Tyler Anderson, and Weston Francis. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Cole Allen, Micah Bruner, Britt Davidson, Dallas Domangue, Waylon Francis, and Cody King.
