Mrs. Verda Lorene (Brown) Collins, 89 of the Walkerville Community, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

She was born to the union of Vernon Ellis and Robbie Mae (Price) Brown on Monday, March 21, 1932 in the Walkerville Community, near Jena Louisiana.

Mrs. Verda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mitchell Keith Collins, son Kevin Collins, and brother Bobby Brown.

Those left to love and miss her, are two daughters Becky Collins, of Jena and Paula Ashworth & husband Ricky, of Belah, a son Keith Collins & wife Charlene, of Jena, sister-in-law Mackie Molan, of Tioga, seven grandchildren Jonathan Collins, Trent Collins & wife Mary, Amber Collins Thane & husband Paul, Kandi Collins Duff & husband Tommy, Kelli Clark Schneider & husband Greg, Marcus Clark, and Kari Collins Brooks & husband Patrick. seventeen great grandchildren Brandon Thane, Dylan Collins, Matelyn Collins, Joseph Brooks, Aidan Brooks, Asher Brooks, Brook Robertson, David Robertson, Alexis Robertson, Colton Robertson, Harlee Duff, Tyler Duff, Lane Duff, Lilybelle Clark, Austin Lewis, Alli Schneider, and Trey Schneider, and two great great grandchildren Layla Collins and Kynleigh Collins.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 14, 2022, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00PM with Rev. David Hutchinson and Bro. Ronald Price officiating. Mrs. Verda will be laid to rest in the Belah Cemetery, of the Belah Community, near Jena.
