Tommy Edward Conner was born April 1, 1942, to Buck and Myrtle Conner in Chireno, Texas.  He had four siblings, Billie Ratcliff, deceased, (Billy Wayne Ratcliff, deceased); Bobbie Quilleon, Tampa, Florida (John Quilleon, deceased) (Ken Holden, deceased); Rodger Conner, deceased (Pat Conner, Cypress, Texas) and Rex Conner, deceased (Pat Conner, Needville, Texas). He has many beloved nieces and nephews. Additionally, he has an extended Graham family in both Louisiana and Texas.

Tom graduated from Kirby High School in Woodville, Texas, in 1960.  He spent some time in the Merchant Marines before joining the U. S. Marine Corps in August 1964.

He owned and operated Graff Vending Company in the San Francisco Bay Area in California for over 30 years.

On December 23, 1971, Tom married Ramona Graham. They lived in Alameda and then San Leandro, California, for 34 years. They had two daughters: Jena Conner, who passed away in California in April 2024, and Amelia "Amy" Conner Jones of Denton, Texas. He had one grandson, Conner Jones, who resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

During Tom's working years in the Bay Area, he was a member of Rotary International and served two terms as President of the East Oakland Rotary Club. He and Ramona traveled on friendship exchanges to South Africa and China with Rotary.

In 2005, Tom & Ramona retired and spent the next 16 years traveling full-time in their motor home all over the United States and Canada, including several months in Alaska and Nova Scotia. He always enjoyed time with family and friends, some meeting wherever they were parked at the time, some traveling on the road with them. Conner was the most frequent "ride-along". Tom loved the RV life, discovering new places, meeting new faces, as well as creating new memories with old friends and family.

Tom was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Alameda, California. While traveling, they had the chance to visit and experience many different churches and especially loved being a part of the chapel group at the Palms RV Resort in Yuma, Arizona, where they spent a number of winters.

After Tom's health declined from Parkinson's, they stopped traveling and made Corinth, Texas (near Amy), their home for the last four years. He passed from this life peacefully on June 14, 2025, at the T. Bonne Pickens Hospice Center in Dallas, Texas.

Ramona says, "God has given us a wonderful life together, and I know the trip he is on now to see Jesus for eternity is the most beautiful trip of all."

Funeral Services will be held at Nebo Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Gulde and Rev. Mickey Gresham officiating, the music will be provided by Joyce Henderson and the Whatley sisters.

Those honored to serve Tom as pallbearers are Zayde Farley, David Evans, Conner Jones, Matt Conner, Steven Conner, Charlie Purgahn, and John Kostas.
