Tishel "Tish" Lea Cox Vail, age 78 of the Belah Community, Trout, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

She was born to the union of Jessie Calvin Cox and Ruby Racheal (Midkiff) Cox on Thursday, January 17, 1946, in Winnfield, Louisiana.

Tish was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers David Cox, and James Cox, and two sisters Racheal Woods, and Evie Southall.

Those left to love and miss her are Gary Wayne Vail, son Jimmy "Ray" Vail, Jr., of the Belah Community, daughter Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Vail McCartney (Brad), of Trout, a brother Herbert Cox (Thelma), of Tullos, two sisters Shirley Rose McGuire (Bobby), of Columbia, and Darlene Vines, of Dodson, a grandson Tyler McIlwain (Alexa), two granddaughters Hailey Eubanks (Bradley), and Gabby McCartney, five great-grandchildren Drake, Jonah, Adaline, Olivia and Ali, and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 26, 2024, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2024, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens with Rev. Steve Cripps and Rev. Bobby McGuire officiating.

Tish will be laid to rest in the Woodland Cemetery following the service under the directions of Kinner & Stevens.

Those honored to serve Tish and her family as pallbearers are Zac Cox, Jesse Wilson, Eric Wilson, Hunter Sims, Jeff Berry, and Garrett Berry.
