Thomas William Garrett, age 66 of Jena, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024.

He was born to the union of A. D. Garrett and Ida Clydell (Corley) Garrett on Sunday, November 24, 1957, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana,

He was retired from the Butterball /Tyson factor in Arkansas. He had moved back to Jena several months ago to be near his family.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, one niece, and two nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Emily Garrett & fiancé' Gilbert, of Columbia, four sisters Willie Mae Boykin & husband Freddy, of Denham Springs, Lilly Butler, of Ferriday, Linda Garrett, of Jena, and Mary Butler, of Jena, a grandson Isaac May, a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. R. V. Couch officiating. Thomas will be laid to rest following the service in the Heard Cemetery, in Manifest.

Garrett Bradley, Tommy McFall, Sean McFall, Mark Boothe, Marcus Garrett, Judas Dewayne Gunter, Paul Hardie, Justin Richardson, and Ryan Thomas will serve Mr. Thomas and his family as pallbearers.

The honorary bearers are Charlie Harris, Chris Tomlinson, and Daniel Tomlinson.
