Thomas C. Chapman
He was born February 18, 1934, to the union of the late Thomas William Chapman & Bertie Demertie (Humphries) Chapman in the Antioch Community. He spent most of his life as a resident of the Belah Community. Thomas was retired from Deviney Construction Co. and a Tractor Mechanic. He lived and enjoyed a long life of 90-plus years.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. with a visitation of family and friends beginning at 10 a.m. This service will be conducted at his home church, Fellowship Baptist, of the Belah Community with Pastor Shad Tibbs and Reverend W. H. Blasingame Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Memorial Park of Jena also known as Woodland Cemetery.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marolyn Marie Comeaux. Also left to cherish his memory, are 7 children Gerald, Glenda Blasingame, Jimmy, Lawrence, Wayne, Howard, and Bro. Larry Chapman, 3 stepchildren Lloyd Trisler, Christie Greer, and Lisa Trisler Cockerham. Most of the family are natives of LaSalle Parish. Thomas had 29 Grandchildren, 42 Great-Grandchildren, and 12 Great-Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Vivan Edgar Chapman, sister Mary Ann Chapman Knapp and a stepson Jimmy Roberts.
The family appreciates all acts of love, prayer, and consideration that have been given through his many blessed decades of life.
