Mrs. Terry Jean Jordan Ray, age 64 of Alexandria, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

Born Monday, January 6, 1958 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her father, John Owen Jordan; father-in-law, McCoy Ray and mother-in-law, Mailliw Ray.

Mrs. Ray was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and had worked in the nursing field for some 45 years. She loved walking the beach with her husband and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and will forever be cherished as "Meme" to her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Phillip M. Ray; mother, Marie Bradford Jordan; children, Christi Ates Wyatt (Nakia) and Ryan Ates (Mindy); step-children, Jon Ray (Johanna) and Jana Thompson (Ted); grandchildren, Landry Kate Wyatt, Marleigh Ates, Gannon Ates and Briggs Ates; step-grandchildren, Jacob Ray, Hanna Ray, Conor Ray, Billy Bekemeier, Katie Bekemeier and Ryleigh Thompson; siblings, Vicki Jordan Voight (Dave), Brad Jordan and Tim Jordan (Traci); sister-in-law, Marilyn Collins (Ron); numerous nieces and nephews as well as her "girls," Abby and Gracie.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Big Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Vernon Blair and Rev. Gene Chellette officiating. Interment will follow in Jordan Hill Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be David Gaar, Brian Gaar, Jon Ray, Gavin Chellette, Adam Lofton, Brent Jordan, Matt Romero and Matt Elkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Parker Brasuel and Caleb Morton.
