Teresa "Darleen" Parks, 66, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 8, 1958, she was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Darleen worked for several years at Winnfield Middle School, where she served as a paraprofessional and enjoyed helping students and staff alike. Her love for children extended far beyond the classroom, as her greatest joy came from spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She treasured the Sunday family gatherings at her mother's home each week, where laughter and love were always abundant.

Darleen was preceded in death by her father, Prentice Hayes; grandson, Kameron Blair; son-in-law, Jeremy Laughlin; paternal grandparents, R.D. and Ruby Hayes; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Lizzie Lester.

She is survived by her loving family: Sons, Dwayne Blair (Macy) of Jackson, TN, and Daniel Blair (Hannah) of Clinton, MS; Daughter, Denise Laughlin of Winnfield, LA; Mother, Billie Hayes of Atlanta, LA; Siblings, Carolyn Hayes of Winnfield, LA; Randall Hayes (Barbara) of Alexandria, LA; and Tonya Lang (Mark) of Atlanta, LA; Aunt Shirley Maxey of Dry Prong, La.

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Dakota Blair, Hayden Blair, Jeremiah Laughlin, Christopher Laughlin, Brenley Blair, Kamden Blair, and Riggins Blair; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at Southern Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Author Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Blair, Jeremiah Laughlin, Christopher Laughlin, Brenley Blair, Kamden Blair, Mark Lang, Nic Lang, and Noah Lang.

Honorary Pallbearers are Dwayne Blair and Riggins Blair.

Darleen's love, laughter, and faith will live on through all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
