Mrs. Tammie Louise Thompson, age 67 of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

Born Sunday, September 15, 1957, in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Louise Baber Jones and the late James Huelin "Dude" Jones. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Braxton Thompson; granddaughter, Kennedy Thompson; and siblings, Donald Wayne Jones and Cathy McCoy.

Tammie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was centered on her family. She enjoyed bowling with friends, tending to her garden, and spending time with her loved ones. Her kindness, sense of humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David James Thompson; children, Michael Thompson (Michelle), Derrick Thompson, Jeremy Thompson, and Ashley Hobdy (Ladarrlyn); grandchildren, Cameron, Landon, Carson, Ansley, Ada, Ayden, S/J., MaKaylee, Layton, Andrew, and Trevor; mother, Louise Baber Jones; and siblings, James Jones and Shuan Jones, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Beau Johnson and Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Sanders Chapel Cemetery in Calvin under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes of Winnfield.

Those honored to serve the family as pallbearers are Cameron Moore, Landon Thompson, Ladarrlyn Hobdy, Mark McCoy, Richard Barham, and Kayne Jones. Serving as an honorary pallbearers is Matt McCoy, Eric Thompson and Ryan Jones.
