In Loving Memory of Sybil Rebecca Coolman November 8, 1962 - July 24, 2023

Sybil Rebecca Coolman, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, was born on November 8, 1962, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully passed away on July 24, 2023.

Sybil's life was defined by her deep love for family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating beautiful memories that will forever remain in their hearts. A talented artist, Sybil found joy in expressing herself through her drawings, and she found solace and inspiration in her cherished books and the study of her Bible.

Sybil was preceded in death by her parents, Alen Coolman Sr. and Cecil Gongre Coolman, as well as her brothers Alen Coolman Jr., Bob Coolman, and Gilbert Coolman, her sisters Carolyn Carter and Katherine Mount, her nephew Darren Treadway, and great-niece Alexis Coolman.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister Theresa James (Randy) and her brothers Eddie, Olan, and Roy Coolman, along with a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she held dear in her heart. Sybil also leaves behind her long-time friend Freddie Martinez and her beloved fur-babies, who brought immense joy and comfort into her life.

A farewell to celebrate Sybil's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2023, at the Liberty Christian Church in Montgomery, Louisiana. Reverend Scott Tilton will officiate the ceremony. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the Union Grove Cemetery, under the compassionate care of Southern Funeral Home.

Visitation with the family will be held at the church on Wednesday, July 24, until the time of the funeral service on Thursday.
