Sue Ann (Worsham) Phillips Nation, age 77 of Jena, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

She was born to the union of Lloyd Lee Worsham and Ruby Pearl (Crooks) Worsham on Tuesday, March 4, 1947, in Los Angeles, CA.

Sue was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She worked for Avon for many years, as a representative and Regional Manager receiving many awards for her service, then moving on to selling Life Insurance, then getting her license to sell real estate for over 20 years before her illness caused her to retire.  She was affectionally known as; Momma, Momma Sue, Sister Sue, Granny Sue, Aunt Sue, Maw Sue, Maw Maw Sue, Grandma Sue, Ruby Pearl, Jr., and by Billy as Pookie. She enjoyed cooking and watching all the kids play ball. She loved playing Scrabble and was very good at it. She will be missed by so many.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry Phillips, a brother Rick "Hot Wheels" Worsham, and two grandsons Junior Evans and Zachary Joiner.

Those left to love and miss her are her husband of 13 years Billy Nation of Jena,  a daughter Cheryl (Chevallier) Joiner & husband John of Jena, a son Larry Lee Chevallier & wife Monique of Jena, three (3) step-daughters Kathy Densford & husband Bob of Mansfield, Violet Bryant & husband Kelvin of Atlanta, and Brenda Phillips Elliott of Jena, two (2) step-sons Jerry Glenn Norris & wife Deborah of Jena, and Brandon Phillips of West Monroe,  a sister Lynn (Worsham) King & husband Jimmy of Belah, two (2) brothers Lloyd "Jr" Worsham & wife Pat of Sandy Lake, and Bobby Worsham of Olla, fifteen (15) grandchildren, fifteen (15) great-grandchildren,  one (1) great great grandchild, longtime special friends  Joe & Tiny Wilkinson of the Walters Community, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, in Rhinehart, La., from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Johnnie Phillips officiating. Sue will be laid to rest in the Woodland Cemetery, of Jena, Louisiana under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

Honored to serve Sue as pallbearers are nephews Jeff Bento, Nick Bento, Dustin Strickland, Dillon Strickland, and grandsons Kyler Chevallier, and Trae Jones.

Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Chevallier, Jared Elliott, Logan Elliott, Daniel Strickland, Jake Doughty, Maika Elliott, Jeremy Norris and Justin Norris.
