Mrs. Shirley Lowery, age 72 of Joyce, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Born Sunday, December 19, 1948 in Zwolle, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lowery; parents Mary Florence Leone Moore and Willie Moore; brothers, Willie Moore and wife Barbara, Lawrence Morre and Gerald Moore.

Mrs. Lowery loved her family and enjoyed gardening and playing games on her phone.

Those left to cherish her memory include her fiance, Mike Bates; sons, William Lowery (Laura), and Daniel Lowery (Merri); her sisters, Janice Stoker, Amy Corley, Peggy Groves (Bob), Alma Ingles (L.C.), Edna Johnson (Alan Beard), and Margaret Hamilton (C.R.); her brother, David Moore; her sisters-in-law, Louise and Joyce Moore; her step-son, Chad Bates; her step-daughter, Michelle Bates; her grandchildren, Danielle Anthony, Brendan Lowery, Austin Lowery, Nicholas Keeney, Payton Keeney, and Alexzandar Lowery; her greatgrandchild, Addison Metoyer; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Old Union Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Sanson officiating, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
