Mrs. Sharona F. Griffin Jurek, age 56 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

She was Born Sunday, February 20, 1966 in Winnfield, Louisiana.  She worked for the Winn Parish School Board for 29 years where she taught first grade at Winnfield Primary School for 22 years.

Sharona was preceded in death by her parents, Loretta Kelly Griffin and Delbert "Hot" Griffin; in-laws, Jim and Priscilla Jurek; and niece, Emmy Bostick.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Troy Jurek, of Winnfield, LA; children, Emily, Abby, and Justin Jurek (Whitney), all of Winnfield, LA; grandchildren, Mila, Hayze, Evangeline, Braylon, and Kash, all of Winnfield, LA; sister, Sheree Barrios (Todd), of Cushing, TX; in-laws, Sue Duplantis (Steve), of Thibodaux, LA; Chuck Jurek, of Winnfield, LA; and Johnny Jurek (Crissy), of Thibodaux, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, in Calvin, LA, from 1:00 PM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Brian McAllister and Rev. Charles Malone officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, in Calvin, LA, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Todd Barrios, Chuck Jurek, Justin Jurek, Johnny Jurek, Bryce Jurek, Caden Barrios, Cale Barrios, and Brett Jurek.
