Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Elton L. Hailey; mother, Norma Ellen Hailey; husband, Alvin Sullivan; sister, Geraldine Wise; and step-son, Johnny Sullivan.

She is survived by her soulmate, Jimmy Bedgood; her devoted fur babies, Skeeter, Mitzi, and Bella; her special friend, Sheila Tolbert Whitman; step-daughters Sue Franklin (Billy) and Thelma Garbrecht (Fred); step-son David Sullivan; step-grandchildren Amanda Patton, Tracy Guin, Anthony Guin, John Sullivan, Christy Sullivan, Andy Palmer and family, John David Palmer and family, Abby Guin and family, and Dustin Guin; and step-great-grandchildren Katelyn Hartley and family, Teedy Hartley and family, Dylann Sullivan, Anolla Patten, and Mary Ponds.

Sharon had a passion for the simple joys in life. She was happiest with a fishing pole in her hand, whether at Sheila's home on Woolen Lake in Richland Parish or beside any puddle of water she could find. She shared countless moments of laughter and peace fishing with Jimmy, and she was eagerly anticipating her next fishing adventure. Sharon also had a green thumb and took great pride in her yard, finding solace and beauty in her gardening.

Sharon's heart held a deep love for music, especially the hymns "Amazing Grace" and "When We All Get to Heaven," which reflected her faith and hope in eternal life.

She will be greatly missed by her long-time friend Sheila Tolbert Whitman, and by her sweet granddaughter Amanda, whose name was always on Sharon's lips and in her heart.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Hurricane Grove Cemetery, with Minister Sheila Tolbert Whitman officiating. Pallbearers will be Roy Lee Smith, Bryan Ellis, Zachary Womack, and Kolman Cummings.
