Shannon Orlean Hayes

Born March 5, 1978, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Shannon Orlean Hayes, a resident of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, at Riverside East Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Shannon was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Helen Allgor Hayes, whose love and guidance deeply influenced his life.

A member of Barean Baptist Church, Shannon embraced life with a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting, running dogs, fishing, and the thrill of motorcycles. Known for his ever-present smile and warm personality, Shannon never met a stranger and had a unique ability to brighten every room he entered.

He is survived by his father, Roger Hayes; his brother, Brannon Hayes; and his Godchildren, Braden and Jaden Hayes, Jasmine Hayes and Jesse Blackstock. Shannon was a loving uncle to and a guiding figure to his nephew and niece Braxten and Kaylee Blackstock

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Shannon's life during a time of remembrance on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, Louisiana, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Maurice Cemetery, officiated by Reverend George Guild.

Arrangements are under the care of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, and the family extends their heartfelt thanks for the love and support shown during this time.

Shannon's legacy of kindness, faith, and an unyielding zest for life will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
