Larry Scott Ganey, age 58 of Jena, Louisiana passed from this life on Friday, December 22, 2023.

He was born to the union of Ira Clarence "Butch" Ganey, Jr. and Virginia Nell "Ginger" (Davis) Ganey, on Saturday, October 23, 1965, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Scott was a graduate of Jena High School in 1983. He owned and operated a barbershop in Jena. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Those left to love and miss him are his wife of 39 years Lisa Lynette (Stockman) Ganey, daughters and extended daughters LaRae Ganey, Chelsea Ganey, Cheyenne Ganey, Chelsea Hughes, Peyton Reeves, Angel Williams, Katie Fuqua and Lauren Boyd, an extended son Cody Hemperley, a sister Janine (Ganey) Brown & husband Chad, a brother Curt Ganey and wife Krista, nephews Cody Brown, Logan Brown, Bryson Ganey and Cutler Ganey, niece Kinlie Ganey, great niece Raelynn Brown, in-laws Dewey & Delores Stockman, Angela & Randall Netherland, granddaughters Finley Hughes, Mattie Benefield, Emma Benefield, grandson Jaxon Bolgiano and a host of other family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends at Oak Grove Baptist Church of Rhinehart, Louisiana Friday, December 22, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Saturday, December 23, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the time of services.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Johnnie Phillips and Rev. Scotty McDowell officiating. Scott will be laid to rest in the Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena following the services under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

Those honored to serve Scott and the family as pallbearers are Chad Brown, Cody Brown, Logan Brown, Bryson Ganey, Cutler Ganey, and Cody Hemperley.
