Sally Adaline (Bignar) Starnes, age 86 of Jena, Louisiana was received intro Heaven on Monday, October 3, 2022. She was born on Wednesday, February 19, 1936, in Jena, Louisiana, to the union of Earl E. Bignar and Claire C. (Hudnall) Bignar.

Mrs. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Lillian Paul, Onie Davidson, Edna Walker, Jenny Walker, Elsie Walker, and three brothers, Sam Bo Bignar, Robert "Bob" Bignar, and Archie Bignar.

Those left to love and miss her are her husband of 67 years, James Lonzo Gant Starnes, a son, Archie "Buddy" Starnes & wife Eva, a daughter, Renee Cooper & husband Donnie, four granddaughters, Stephanie McDowell & husband Darrell, Kayla Cooper, Kimberly Corley & husband Timothy, and Tanya Windham & husband Matt, nine great grandchildren, Caleb Corley, Cecily-Jane Corley, Parker Williams & husband Triston, Abby Corley, Jacie Marie Strother, Dillian McDowell & wife Kenzie, Dawson McDowell, Daylen Husbands and Mattie Anne Windham, two great great grandchildren, Emmie-Jean Williams and Hallex Daniel Williams, and  a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Graveside Services will be on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 in the Chickasaw Cemetery in the Summerville Community/Olla at 10:00AM with Rev. Danny Cole and Rev. Matt Windham officiating.

Those honored to serve her as pallbearers are Darrell McDowell, Dillian McDowell, Dawson McDowell, Daylen Husbands, Caleb Corley, and Derrick McDowell.
