Mrs. Ruth Nolan Ingles, age 81, of Dodson, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024. She was born on Tuesday, June 23, 1942, in Saint Joseph, Louisiana, to the late Norval S. Noland and Norma T. Washer Noland Buchan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Todd Ingles; cherished grandson Barry Thornton; sister, Patsy Jones; step-father, Roy Buchan; and step-mother, Evelyn Noland.

Mrs. Ruth dedicated a significant part of her life to the culinary arts, serving as the manager of KFC in Winnfield. Later, she devoted 18 years as a dedicated dietician at Parkview before retiring. She was a faithful member of Welcome Home Baptist Church, where her strong sense of community and love for family were evident.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Darrel Ingles; devoted daughter, Teresa Thornton (Deano); grand-daughter Mallorie Gardner (Lance); great-grandchildren Madelyn, Georgia, and Cooper;  and siblings, Ronald Nolan (Selene), Margie Faye Walton, Norva Lee Jackson, Donna Maxwell (Dale), and Debbie Foster (Danny).

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and again on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Southern Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Wesley and Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Gorham Town Cemetery of Joyce.

Honoring Mrs. Ruth Nolan Ingles as pallbearers will be Clay Ingles, Craig Ingles, Cole Ingles, Kurt Ingles, Mike Ingles, Jerry Ingles, Tommy Ingles, and Cole Martin.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
