Mrs. Ruby Ann McNeil Thornton, age 78 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Born Monday, May 13, 1946 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, she was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Dorothy Baudin McNeil; daughter, Sherry Rene Mott.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James "Butch" Thornton, Sr.; son, James "Bo" Thornton, Jr. (Marie); grandchildren - Lathan, Kaylyn, Alyssa, Lily, Johnny and Emily; great-grandchildren, Kimber and Makenna; sisters, Rubiene Allred and Patsy Butnick.

Memorial service arrangements will be announced by the family at a later date.
