Mr. Earl Rodney Wroten, age 73, of Sikes, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26,2025, in Jonesboro, Louisiana.  His birthplace was Port Arthur, Texas on September 17, 1951.

Rodney was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and Uncle.  His greatest joy in life was his family.  Rodney shared 53 wonderful years with his wife and life companion, Rita Sepulvado Wroten of Sikes, Louisiana.  Together, they raised 3 remarkable, hard working and loving sons that learned the value of family.

Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Rita; Sons, Travis(Karla) and Jamie(Nicole); grandchildren Tiffani Connor, Blake Wroten(Katie), Ryan Hayes, Laura Wroten, Karie Stevens(Joshua), Kegan Dick(Amber) Aidan Dick, 10 great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wroten is preceded in death by his father Clarence Wroten and his mother, Hattie Mae Wroten Flynn as well as his youngest son, Adam Wayne Wroten; five siblings that include sisters Connie Richard, Virginia Singleton, Norma Jean Fusilier;  brothers Jimmy Wroten and Rudy Wroten.

Rodney was a very passionate outdoorsman and especially loved deer hunting.  Some of the most cherished memories are when hunting season rolled around with  time spent together with friends and family.  Hobbies included gardening, woodworking, music, playing the guitar and sharing a cup of coffee with his friends.

He worked 42 years as an automotive mechanic and had achieved the certification as Ford Master Mechanic before retiring.

He loved the Lord in his own special way and believed in Jesus Christ, our Savior.
He has gone home, reuniting with Adam and all of his loved ones on the other side. We will miss him here on Earth but rejoice in knowing we will all be together again someday.  Rest in Peace Rodney....we love you!

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield from 5 till 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Hart Cemetery in Sikes, Louisiana.  Reverend Tony Dick will officiate. Interment and services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Those honored to serve the family as Pallbearers include Blake Wroten, Travis Wroten, Jamie Wroten, Kegan Dick, Aiden Dick and Sam Gunter.
