Robert Sutton was born on February 2, 1960 and passed away on May 11, 2023. Bobby was born in Natchitoches to Jackie and Margaret Sutton. He was known most of his life as Bobby, but the last 11 years he was affectionately and humorously called Poppa Snake. His self-proclaimed Grandfather name fit him better than anything he could have ever been called. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren more than anyone has ever loved anything. His devotion to his family was second to none!

Bobby did many jobs throughout his life. Whatever he did; he worked hard. He taught his children how to work hard and how to take care of family. He was hard-headed and had a bit of a temper for most of his life, but in the last 20 years he was calm and loved on everyone he met!

His joy was his family. He lived to make Molly and Jack happy! He was always scheming of ways to get them to his house and spend all of his time with them! He showed us all how to love by the way he loved them and us!

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his Father, Bobby Jack Sutton, father in law, Huey Gates, his brother in law Jerry Morris. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Sutton, mother in law, Fannie Gates, lifelong-sweetheart, Tammy; children, Kristen, Monica, and Jeremy; his hearts, Molly and Jack!  He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, David and Tina Sutton, Myron and Terri Curry, and Tina Morris, and also by his many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the amazing ICU staff at North Louisiana Medical Center who took excellent care of him in the last 2 weeks, and the countless friends and family members who prayed for us over the last 2 weeks!

If he could leave us with anything, he would want us all to know that Jesus loves us and that we should put our faith in Him as our Savior! Bobby is celebrating in heaven with his Risen Lord! We can't wait to see him again one day!
