Mrs. Retha Jean Hatten, age 76 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

Mrs. Hatten was a native of Jonesboro, Louisiana and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Winnfield.

She was the daughter of the late William Lee Shows and the late Willie Faye Bayes Shows.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter Teresa Carol Barton as well as her brother Charles "Bo" Shows.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 59 years Troy Lee Hatten, grand children Bryar Barton (Amanda), Bethany Barton (Dillon), Brandt Barton (Caroline), and Bayes Barton (Sadye), great grandchildren Violet, Baylor, Finley, Baker, Benji, Daisy, and Barrett as well as one on the way.   She is also survived by a sister in law Janet Shows, a son in law, Brad Barton; as well as nieces and nephews Michelle, Brayden, Kylan and Lilli.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hatten will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church with Bro.  Freddy Shows officiating.  Friends may visit with the family at Faith Baptist Church on Thursday July 21, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.

Pallbearers will be Bryar Barton, Brandt Barton, Bayes Barton, Dillon Graves, Johnny Price and John Price.  Terry Council will serve as a honorary pallbearer.
