Mr. Raymond Howard Moore, age 67 of Natchitoches, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

Born Sunday, July 10, 1955 in Jonesboro, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents, Lela Mae Burnum Moore and Willie Odell Moore; brothers, Willie Edwin Moore, Sr and Harvey Ray Moore; and sister, Joyce Murlene Walker.

Raymond learned early that working was imperative to the life he wanted to live. He used his brilliant mind to finish high school early. Tall stature helped him pass for an adult working on a tugboat at 15 years of age with his Uncle. Known by many as Flaming Raymond demonstrates his love for fast cars. He worked for over 30 years in the oil industry predominantly as a drilling superintendent and finally as a drilling consultant. He believed in living his life to the fullest during his time off. Raymond loved his family dearly and was most proud of his children and grandchildren's accomplishments and intellect. He will be missed, but we will now celebrate his life.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Jan Paddie and Ola Courson; brothers, James Moore, Robert Moore, and Jewel Moore; children, Melissa Moore Parker (Ray), Janet Hall (Stephen), Raymond Moore, Jr. (Jessica), Sherry Ann Moore, and Sherly Ann Moore; grandchildren, Trenton Parker, Dalton Parker, and Preston Parker; Kinsley Hall, Asher Hall, Ayden Hall, Avery Hall, and Ander Hall; Jesse James, Easton Moore, and Hunter Moore; and Nora Quintana; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Mr. Moore's funeral service will be held concurrent with his sister, Joyce at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Bates officiating. Interment will follow in Yankee Springs Cemetery, near Goldonna.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Trenton Parker, Dalton Parker, Preston Parker, Will Moore, Wes Moore, and Ray Parker.
