Ralph Morgan Long was born August 7, 1946, in Winnfield, Louisiana, and died in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Maxine Riley, and his grandparents, Rev. Ralph and Jessie Frazier.

He is survived by his sister, Nancy Crain, and her husband Delane of Winnfield; nephew John Robert Crain, his wife Erin, and their son Palmer of Baton Rouge; and nephew Charles Crain of Winnfield. He leaves behind a close friend and business partner, Dianna Cools, and her children Allison Arnold and Andrew Arnold, of Dallas.

Ralph was graduated from Winnfield High School in 1964 and earned his bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University. He remained an avid L.S.U. Tiger fan all his life.

Ralph served two years in the United States Army as a Medic from 1966 until 1968.  Ralph was in the flooring, carpet, and rug business for more than forty years as an independent agent and executive sales representative of RML & Associates. He was very dedicated to his vendors and customers.

Ralph spent much time traveling for his business but loved to come back to Winnfield for every Thanksgiving, Christmas, family reunion, and special occasion.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon), Saturday, February 18th, at the Garden of memories Cemetery in Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
