Rachael Marie (Trahan) Askin, age 57 of Quitman, made her way through the Heavenly gates on Friday, May 26, 2023.  Rachael was most content at home with her family; especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren anytime they could get together for a visit.  She could usually be found at home with the sounds of detective dramas or cooking shows playing in the background.  Rachael was a sweet soul with a good heart.

She leaves behind her husband, Rodney Askin; children, Allison Thibodaux and husband Kevin, Mitchell Chaisson and girlfriend Catherine Ber, Rodney Askin, Jr. and wife Shannon; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Hilda Lassere, Raymond Trahan and wife Mandy, Henrietta Trahan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Alice (Guidry) Trahan; sister, Linda Trahan.
