Priscilla Ann Angelle, age 82 of Jonesboro was called to her Heavenly home on Friday, May 2, 2025.  Priscilla was born on Thursday, March 11, 1943 in Arnaudville, Louisiana to the union of Essie Joseph and Marie (Noel) Angelle.  Priscilla was a strong woman with a big heart.  She worked as a prison guard and as a sheriff's deputy for East Feliciana Parish.  She also spent some time working for a bakery where she learned cake making skills and eventually used these talents to have a side business making cakes to order.  Priscilla was proud of and loved her Cajun culture.  She loved to show off her Cajun roots anyway she could.  If she saw a t-shirt that was about being Cajun, she was going to have to add it to her collection and wear it proudly.  She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking up dishes such as gumbo and Etouffee for her family and friends.

Priscilla was a lady of many talents.  She loved to bake, cook, to craft, do wood working, sewing, embroidering, quilting, jewelry making, hunting, fishing, crabbing, and deer hunting.  If you met her she most likely was going to give you something before you left.  She liked to gift new friends with pieces she had made and embroidered such and towels or aprons.  When it came to deer hunting she loved to take her shot, but she usually was prepared just in case she missed.  Priscilla would wear an old t-shirt when she hunted so that if she did miss the deer she did not get a good shirt torn.  Priscilla enjoyed time with her family most of all.  She loved her children and her nieces, nephews, and their children with all of the love her heart could muster.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Betty (Lachney) Womack and Darrell, Brenda (Lachney) Bryant and Cody; brother, Raymond Joseph Angelle and Margie Mae; brother in law, A.D. Stelly.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Essie Joseph and Marie (Noel) Angelle; infant brother, Nelson Jospeh Angelle; siblings, Mercedes Angelle, Louis Benton Angelle, and twin sister, Patricia Ann Angelle Fontenot.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Ebenezer Baptist Church from 10:30 AM until time of service.  Funeral services are set to begin at 11:00 AM with Bro. Chris Lee officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
