Mr. Phillip Wayne Alsup, age 66, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Born on January 12, 1959, in Benton, Arkansas, Phillip was a resident of Winnfield. He worked for 18 years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and also held various construction jobs throughout his career. An avid reader who loved the outdoors, Phillip enjoyed hunting, attending rodeos, and riding horses. His easygoing nature and appreciation for simple pleasures reflected the heart of a true country gentleman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vondus Coburn Alsup and Alice Pratt Alsup, and his siblings, Cindy Guin Price and Chuck Alsup. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Charlotte Hill and husband Blake, Vonessa Alsup and husband Trent, and Devona Montgomery and husband Kenny; grandchildren, Knox, Nicholas, Nash, Van, Alice, Tre, and Charles; and siblings, Vonette Britt and Paul Alsup and wife Jill.
