Mrs. Peggy Earlene Rowell, a beloved resident of Winnfield, LA, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born on Monday, April 17, 1939, in Texas, to the late Earl Albert Lewis and Gay Murray Lewis.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Glen Rowell, her father Earl Albert Lewis, her mother Gay Murray Lewis, her sisters Joyce Washburn and Juanita Garrett, and her grandson Anthony Jensen.

She is survived by a legacy of love and family, including her devoted son Mark Rowell (Alene), daughter Michelle Starks, son Marlon Rowell (Tonya), son Michael Rowell (Lezlie), daughter Melanie Jensen (Tony), and daughter Misty Turner (Jason) . Peggy is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and siblings J. W. Langston and James Lewis.

Peggy's warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and grace.

In accordance with her wishes, Peggy's earthly remains will be cremated. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be announced by the family at a later time.
