Ms. Peggy Denise Martin, age 72 of Ruston, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

She was born Monday, November 27, 1950 in Winnfield, Louisiana, to the union of Joseph Daniel and Nellie Rose Smith Rudd. She spent her working career in the education field serving as a teacher for many years. Her most precious possession was her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stanley Martin; parents, Joseph Daniel and Nellie Rose Smith Rudd.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Adam Martin (Halie), Paul Martin (Chelsie); grandchildren, Bryce, Ava, Connor, and Hannah; and one sister, Dana Booth.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Southern Funeral Home, from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Garden of Memories in Winnfield with Rev. Donald Rudd officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories of Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jacob Martin, Clay Bates, Connor Martin, Bryce Martin, and Danny Booth.
