Pearl Carson Leggett, age 93, of Calvin, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2025, in Winnfield. Born on November 17, 1932, in Calvin, Louisiana, to Samuel and Belva Bonnette Carson, Pearl spent much of her life in Calvin, where she was well known and deeply loved by her family and those who knew her. She was devoted to her family, with a humble, kind, and giving heart, always ready to listen to anyone in need.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Leggett, Jr.; her parents, Samuel and Belva Bonnette Carson; and her siblings, Pery Carson, Samuel Carson, Reed Carson, Edith Carpenter, and Fern Carson.

She is survived by her children, David Leggett and wife Dawn, Connie McNeely and husband Michael, and Paul Leggett and wife Becky; her grandchildren, Jessica, Reece, Matthew, Samantha, Ross, Hannah, and Rachel; and her great-grandchildren, Levi, Saige, Case, Sophia, Dusti, and Rayvann. Pearl is also remembered fondly by extended family members and friends whose lives she touched through her quiet strength, love, and devotion to family.

Visitation will be held at Southern Funeral Home on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Sanders Chapel Cemetery on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will be at Sanders Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
