Patsy Ruth Bratton, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 3, 2025, at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield, Louisiana. Born on November 29, 1938, in Sarepta, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late John R. Carpenter and the late Athenese Holton Carpenter.

Patsy will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit, her devotion to her family, and the simple joys she found in life. She had a passion for gardening, canning, quilting, and crocheting—skills she lovingly shared with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Bratton; her son, Aaron Harold Bratton; and her brother, Donald Carpenter.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Gilbert Bratton and wife Susan of Flippin, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Casey, Cody, Kenny, and Brandy; eight great-grandchildren;  her brother, Richard Carpenter and special friend and care giver Debbie Hayes.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Sanders Chapel Cemetery near Calvin, with her grandson, Rev. Kenny Bratton, officiating. Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Patsy's love and warmth will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
