Patricia Kay
"Trisha Kay" Specht
Apr 1, 1951 — Feb 5, 2025
Nebo Community
Patricia Kay Specht, born April 1, 1951, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Orville Joseph "Joe" Ratcliff and Hazel Jane Paul Abbott, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at LaSalle General Hospital in Jena, Louisiana.
Patricia, or as most knew her, "Trisha Kay", was raised with cousins who were more like siblings. Her granny, Ellie Paul, played a big part in raising her when her mother had to work. It is because of this upbringing that she had such great love for her family. She worked for 30 years at Bell South where she retired. She eventually went back to work at Lasalle General Hospital where she was often the first friendly face you would see walking in the door. As a night owl, she always enjoyed spending nights with her work family. In her spare time, she loved to sew, research family history, and keep up to date on all the local gossip. She was the person to ask if you wanted to know about anything or anyone. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends and would always lend a helping hand. She loved being a mama and was excited to gain a daughter, but her favorite title was Granny.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert "Robbie" Robbins, and wife Meagan of Nebo, grandson Reid Robbins, a half-sister Debbie Ratcliff York, a half-brother Thomas "Tater" Ratcliff, and a host of family and friends, who will always hold her in their hearts.
Trisha Kay is preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather Robert "Bobby" Abbott, stepmother Dorothy "Dot" Ratcliff, and a half-brother David "Bullet" Ratcliff.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2025, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, Jena Friends from 5-8 P.M. Services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Nebo Baptist Church. Visitation will start at 9 A.M. until services begin at 11 A.M. Bro. Joey Paul and Bro. Carl Gulde will be officiating. Trisha Kay will be laid to rest in the Nebo Cemetery, of Nebo Community, south of Jena.
