Mrs. Nyoka LaJuan King Austin, a resident of Bossier City and formerly of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Willis-Knighton Bossier. She was born on June 26, 1945, in Rochelle, Louisiana.

Mrs. Austin was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 30 years. She retired from Linda's Country Kitchen, where she was known for her dedication and warm personality. Nyoka also enjoyed making blankets and took great joy in sharing her creations with those she loved. Above all, she was devoted to her family and cherished the time spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie King and Alma Elouise Thompson King; her sister, Peggy King; and her nephews, Bruce and Charles Holmes.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 55 years, Donald Ray Austin; her children, Johnny Droddy (Traci), Angel Austin, and Eric Austin; grandchildren, Brittney, Brooke, Kristopher, Andrew, Baili, Julius, Mikaela, Elyssa and Trinity; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Katherine Holmes; as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverends Norris Curry and Craig James officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.

Her sons, grandsons, and nephews will honor her as pallbearers.
