Nona Raegene
(Farley) Davidson
Dec 23, 1944 — Sep 21, 2022
Jena
Nona Raegene (Farley) Davidson, 77, of Jena was called home on September 21, 2022. Her heart was pure, gentle, and kind. She loved to the moon and back. A love we will cherish when the skies are gray. She always was and forever will be the sweetest ray of sunshine.
Nona was born on December 23, 1944, to Raymond Eugene Farley Sr. and Rita Lees Farley. A Class Beauty, Homecoming Maid, and Cheerleader, she graduated from Jena High School in 1962. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Northwestern State University in 1965 and enjoyed many years of teaching. In 1989 she began a career in the Oil and Gas Industry and retired as Senior Production Clerk with XTO Energy.
She married her one and only love, Mr. Charles Raymond Davidson, on July 3, 1965. She remained by his side until the moment of his passing on November 4, 2021. Their 56 years of marriage was a Testament of the love they shared and commitment to one another. They enjoyed many trips to the mountains together. They would welcome two sons, Brad and Britt, with whom she would enjoy a close and unique relationship with each. Her "Job like" patience, quick wit, and soft toughness are a few of her many attributes that were likely forged at this time. She loved her family so abundantly. She always had a brightness to her and a smile that was warm. Her laughter was full of joy. She was thoughtful and caring to all.
Nona was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Davidson, brother Raymond Eugene Farley Jr. "Gene" and nephew Justin Farley.
She is survived by her sweet and loyal companion, her handsome dog "Jess". Two sons, Brad Davidson and wife Misty and Britt Davidson and wife Kelly. A brother, Brent Farley and wife Reacey. Many Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Nephews, Nieces, great Nieces and Nephews, Cousins, friends, and caretaker Deidi Francis.
At her best, she was Nonna. Nonna dearly loved her Grandbabies and made sure they all knew it. She spoiled them, nurtured them, and will always have a special place in their hearts for she gave unmatched love. To cherish her legacy are her Grandgirls and their families: Raegan Watkins and husband Devin, Brooke Calvar and husband John, Brittain Jeane and husband Lavelle, Sawyer Davidson, and Callie Jo Davidson. Nonna also got to love her first great grandchild, Jackson Lavelle Jeane.
