Neva Joyce Darling, age 91, gained her angel wings Sunday, May 14, 2023 in Decatur, Tx.  Born April 1, 1932 in Calvin, Louisiana, she led a life of servitude to the Lord and her family.

She was an incredible mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.  Embracing each person she knew with strong affection and love, Neva shared her personal experiences about life to help them in times of need.  She made each person feel loved and gave them strength and tools to face life as it came in a Christ centered fashion.
Neva is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Les Darling, her father, Raymond Sutton, mother, Marie Sutton and her son, David McGilvray.  She will be sadly missed by her surviving family members, her loving son Fred McGilvray, wife Karen, granddaughter, Erin Tedrow,  husbandBrandon, and great-granddaughter Micaella Tedrow,
granddaughter Kimberly Nation, husband John and great- grandchildren, Benika Friis, David Friis, Jonathan Friis and John-Michael Nation.

Viewing will be Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints in Winnfield, Louisiana beginning at 1p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 2p.m. with  interment immediately following the service in Bolton Teagle Cemetery in Calvin, Louisiana under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes.
