Neil Jerome Thompson, age 56 of Nebo, Louisiana passed from this life on Monday, March 28, 2022.

He was born on Monday, July 12, 1965 in Houma, Louisiana, to the union of Patrick Wesley and Evelyn Marie (Domangue) Thompson.

Neil was preceded in death by father and a brother, Eddie Patrick Thompson,

He was a loving father and grandfather. His family was the light of his life, but his greatest joy came from being with his grandchildren. Some of his favorite things to do were riding his Harley and working on his land with his tractor. Neil was known to friends as Hillbilly. He spent his last days loving Jesus and spending time with family.

Neil leaves behind to love and miss him, his mother Evelyn Marie (Domangue) Thompson of Jena, daughter Kathleen Deanda & husband Juan, of Sulphur, La., a son Jeromy Neil Thompson & wife Taylor, of Jena, La., a sister Stacey Thompson Maxwell, of Jena, La., a brother Patrick "Packy" Thompson Jr. & wife Janet, of Houma, La., four grandsons Sawyer Jerron Thompson, Tucker Eddie Thompson, Christian Neil Deanda, and Liam Patrick Deanda, two granddaughters Lilah Kate Thompson, Emmarie Grace Deanda, and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Sanctuary Family Worship Center, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, at which time the Funeral Services will begin. Pastor Heath Harris and Pastor Patrick "Packy" Thompson will be officiating. Neil will be laid to rest following the service in Jena Cemetery, Jena. Louisiana with Bro. Emile Bordelon officiating under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

Those honored to serve the family as pallbearers, are Juan Deanda, Darren Domangue, Clint Jones, Joshua Thompson, Trey Thompson, and Tommy Thompson.
