Michael Glenn Thomas, age 68 of Jena, Louisiana passed from this life, on Monday, April 3, 2023, while fighting lung cancer.

He was born to the union of Kermit Wilton Thomas, Sr. and Dorothy Louise (Richmond) Thomas, Sr. on Sunday, September 19, 1954, in Columbia, Louisiana.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, one brother K. W.  Thomas, Jr., and two sisters Evelyn Thomas, and Doris (Thomas) Masters.

Those left to love and miss him are his daughter Kristal Kaye (Thomas) Pierce, of Shreveport, LA, two sisters Lynda (Thomas) Lovelady, of Columbia, LA, and Kathy (Thomas) James, of Tioga, LA, one granddaughter Bailey Pierce, of Shreveport, LA, and a host of other close family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 8, 2023, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens with Jason DeBusk officiating. Michael will be laid to rest following the service in the Pine Grove Cemetery, in Rhinehart, Louisiana under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

Honored to serve the family as pallbearers are Bill Smith, Rodney Smith, Bob Smith, Cody Jones, Tom Smith. Honorary pallbearer Jason DeBusk.
