Mary Catherine Wilson Brewer of Jena, Louisiana, passed away on August 18, 2024, at 65 years of age.  She was born on April 16, 1959, in Port Arthur, Texas, to parents Dixie Ray and Helen Ruth Wilson, who preceded her in death.

Mary lived a beautiful life, and over the years was a blessing to so many people.  She loved trips with the family—to the beach, to the lake, to the Ozarks, to the Rockies.  The destination wasn't important as long as she was with her family.   Aside from spending a day fishing, her favorite past-time was gardening—she was a lover of beautiful flowers, and she always enjoyed her summer vegetable garden.  However, nothing could ever eclipse her true passion—being MiMi to her four precious grandchildren.  To say they were the light of her life is an understatement.  She celebrated every triumph and success in their lives; and showed her boundless love by sharing their burdens with them, striving to help lighten their load.  When she was with them and anytime she spoke of them, her pride and joy would shine through in her voice and in her eyes.  She said, "I can't be with them every step of the way, but I can pray for them every day."  We are incredibly blessed that her legacy of prayers for them--and for everyone in her family--will stand before God for all time until we're all reunited in His presence.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bennie 'Bingo' Brewer of Jena, son Jamie Lee Wallace (Jamie Marie) of Alexandria, son Zackary Brewer of Jena, grandchildren Evie Wallace, Harper Wallace, and Remy Wallace of Alexandria, Ryatt Brewer of Jena, her brothers Darrel Wilson of Urania, Louisiana, Philip Wilson (Kimberly) of San Diego, California, and her sister Ruth Williams (Steve) of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.  She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who were blessed to call her Aunt Mary.
