Mary Louise (Smith) Norris, age 81 of Jena, Louisiana passed from this life on Friday, December 22, 2023.

She was born to the union of Gerald Clifton Smith and Zelma Inez (Smith) Smith on Sunday, May 17, 1942, in Jena, Louisiana.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Trax Norris, two sisters Geraldine Smith and Polly (Smith) Duncan, and three brothers Miles Smith, Raymond Smith, and Howard Smith.

Those left to love and miss her are her daughter Wendy Robertson & husband Kenny of Jena, a sister Esther (Smith) Bacle of Jena, grandson Brandon Robertson & wife Rosanne, granddaughter DeLainey (Robertson) Mayo & husband Ryan, grandson Ryan Robertson & wife Shelby, great-grandchildren Lana Jolly, Kellan Brown, Michael Mayo, Sophie Mayo, Easton Robertson, Abigail Robertson and Ellie Mayo.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Midway Baptist Church, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Breithaupt officiating. Louise will be laid to rest following the service in the Hair Cemetery, in Jena, under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

Those honored to serve Louise as pallbearers are Brandon Robertson, Ryan Robertson, Kevin Bacle, Kris Bacle, Paul Smith, and Brayden Poole.
