Mary Lillian (Williams) Sanders passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 in Jonesboro, Louisiana.  Miss Lillian was born in Wyatt, Louisiana on December 12, 1931 to Edward Doc Williams and Eula (Tullos) Williams.  She married Elmer Sanders and they raised a family in their home, just south of Jonesboro.  Ms. Lillian worked for several years for Old South Life Insurance Company in Jonesboro.

Miss Lillian is survived by her children, Sandra Porter and husband, Gary of Haughton Louisiana, Steve Sanders of Jonesboro, Louisiana and Scott Sanders and wife, Lynn of Quitman, Louisiana; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Tullos Williams.

Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; brother, Thesten Leo Williams; and sister, Geraldine Allen.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro from 11 am until 1 pm. The service will begin at 1 pm, officiated by Bro. David Essmeier.  Burial will follow in Gayla Traina Cemetery in Jonesboro, Louisiana under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Jason Porter, Tim Porter, Danny Allen, Kyle Sanders and Heath Sanders.
