Mrs. Mary Carol Desemar Hosner, age 81 of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

She a native of Alabama and was a retired beautician.   She was a long time member of Colfax United Pentecostal Church.   She loved her church family and being active in church activities.  Everytime the church doors were open she was there.    She will also be remembered for her painting and she loved tending her plants.

Mrs. Hosner was preced in death by her parents Walter and Eugenia Wheat Desemar; husband Malcolm Hosner; son-in-law Ferrell Bruce; and two brothers Weldon and Jack Desemar.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children Vera McNaughton (Tim), Lenora "Polly" Bruce, Mary Beth Horvath, Walter Glen Hosner, and Anthony Wade Hosner; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchilden.    She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hosner will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Colfax United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Wayne Setliff officiating.  Interment will follow in the Montgomery Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Friends may visit with the family at the church on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. noon until time of services.
