Mary Emma Jones Anderson passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center.

Born on May 28, 1950 in Pineville, LA, Mary was adopted by Dayton & Linnie Jones. Raised in Calvin, LA, she attended Calvin High School and Calvin Baptist Church. She met her husband, Pete, at 4 years old, and loved him her entire life. They married before he left for Vietnam at 18 years old, and she joined him shortly after to begin their life together. Traveling the world in the Navy brought them such joy, and they started a family shortly after. After decades of serving, they retired and came back home to Louisiana.

A lifetime of grief was covered in perfect peace as she was welcomed into eternity by her husband, William "Pete" Anderson; her children, Scotty Anderson, Sherry Anderson Collins, & Christie Anderson McCandless; and her parents Dayton & Linnie Jones.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Michael Anderson, Rachel Procell (Brandon), Ryan Anderson, & Julia Collins; great grandchildren, Scott Haire, Elynnor Procell, & soon-to-be-born, Rosaleigh Jane Collins; and numerous other family members.

The family will receive friends at 10:00am on Saturday, January 11 with funeral to follow at 11:00am at Calvin Baptist Church with Bro. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Calvin, LA. Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes, Winnfield, Louisiana.
