Martha Rae Wilson Maloy, age 79, of Ball, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Rapides Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 5, 1945, in Rochelle, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Vezie "Red" Wilson and Melvina Walton Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Lois Curry, Marlene Ford, Edith Banks, Maxine Boyce, R.D. Wilson, and Jimmy Wilson; along with six nephews and four nieces.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Kenneth R. Maloy Sr., children, Ken Maloy (Lynn), Donna Maloy Wilson, and Hollie Maloy (Charles); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her sister, Opal Hill (Mack); special "sister," Lucille Walton; and best friends who were like sisters, Mary Desselle and Johnetta Davis. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Mrs. Maloy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was steadfast and unconditional. She served as cafeteria manager at Eastside Elementary School in Winnfield and later retired from Pinecrest. She will be lovingly remembered for her delicious cakes, pies, and meals she so graciously prepared, which brought joy and comfort to those around her.

Her faith guided her life, and she was a faithful member of Solid Ground Worship Center in Ball, Louisiana. The words of Proverbs 31 describe her well: "She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household… Her children rise up and call her blessed."

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home, with Reverends John Span and Mike Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Winnfield, under the direction of Rev. Randy Tyler.

Friends may visit with the family at Southern Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
