Mr. Mark Huel Harris, age 65 of Georgetown, Louisiana passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023.

Born Monday, March 25, 1957 in Alexandria, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his father, Huel L. Harris and an infant son.

Mark was a beloved son, brother, father and Pawpaw. He was the most hardheaded and loving man to everyone he knew, and some he didn't. In his younger days, he loved to pick a guitar, tear up a dance floor and work with his hands. His love of old tractors and work equipment are visible to all. He could make you madder than a hornet in one moment and in the next, reminisce of the memories full of joy and happiness that would bring a smile to your face. He would lend a hand to anyone in need, anytime he was able.

His greatest joys were his daughter and son and his two grandchildren, followed closely by companion in life, a rescued dog; Jaunita Rosita Gonzales.

He will be greatly missed by all, but the memories that were made with those around him, will be forever etched in our minds.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Mary Long Harris; daughter, Jessica Rae Cadis (Eric); son, Lance Conley Harris; grandchildren, Rylin Rae and Bentley Richard Cadis; sister, Angela Ruth Audirsch (B.R.); brother, Charles Matthew Harris; beloved dog, Juanita Rosita Gonzales; nieces and nephews, Dustin Hemperly, Kayla Fleming, Tyler Pyles, Melissa Starks, and Courtney Harris.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Beulah Baptist Church, from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetary, near Georgetown, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Richard Banes, Cody Bradford, Dustin Hemperly, Jack Barrett, Tyler Pyles, and Richard Mark Maxwell. John Wooten, John Mark Powell, Paul Hannegan, and Bentley Cadis will serve as honorary pallbearers.
